I think this is water but it reminds me if elephant skin. Anyway, good texture no matter what it is

Thanks, Sync. I tried to tone down the sandy color a bit to give it a more water-like appearance. The water is very shallow and the stream has a sandy bottom.

Very cool, Ken. I like how the water ripples catches the light.

Thanks, Gracie. I like your new gravatar.

        Thanks Ken. I tried a little “selfie”…haha

I kind of have a thing for sun-lit water ripples, so I kind of have a thing for this photo….

Thanks, Melinda. This took me by surprise as it’s been very overcast here lately. But that’s typical of Webster.

Surprise bursts of sunlight are one of the features that earned Webster its title of Where Life is Worth Living?

        • oneowner August 5, 2013 / 3:05 pm

Not likely since the occurrence of the “bursts” is very rare.

It’s not weather related. It’s because there is a big sign that tells us so!

          • Melinda Green Harvey August 5, 2013 / 9:40 pm

Ohhhhh! A sign! It must be true. If there’s a sign that says so.

I remember when I was a kid, I could sit and watch the water. I observed the movements, the colors and the energy. This image takes me back to this memory.

Yes, the flow of the water can be mesmerizing.

You have been mesmerising me with your water shots of late. This is another one to make me forget what it was I was doing before I saw it.

    • oneowner August 5, 2013 / 4:10 pm

Thanks, ehpem. Living so close to the lake I end up with a lot of water shot and I do what I can to make them interesting.

      • ehpem August 5, 2013 / 4:36 pm

Makes me think I should make more of an effort in that regard, living near water as well.

I’ve always liked your shots by the water, especially with the mountains in the background and, of course, the storm drain.
