This is outstanding, Ken. The color, the minimalism, the mood of serenity–just lovely.

Thanks, Linda. The swan gets most of the credit.

No no, you do. It’s finding your position relative to the swan and the melting ice that makes this photograph. Take a bow.

That’s lovely, Ken. The swan looks like he has little Winter boots on!

Thanks, Meanderer. I don’t think they have much feeling in their feet, which helps during the winter. I see them walking on the ice all the time.

Is it just me, or does it look like it has socks on?

      It’s you
Actually, I checked Amazon and they don’t carry mature swan-sized socks so he (she?) will have to get socks elsewhere.

Nice composition Ken. The addition of the detail on the right side makes it work much better for me.

Thanks, John. I shot this at 300mm because I didn’t want to get too close. They’ll walk right up to you and that makes it difficult to get good photos.

Lovely work, as always. The last two pictures should earn enough points to put the swan back on your side. The last one is my favorite.

Thanks, Anita. Still, the swan deserves the credit.

    This is an outstanding image, Ken. And I mean o u t s t a n d i n g!!

    • oneowner March 24, 2015 / 12:11 pm

Thanks, Malin. Guess I’ll have to give the bird a raise.

      • Malin H March 24, 2015 / 12:17 pm

Oh yes! Definitely! And give the bird a name too.
