  1. I’m probably reading something into your interesting photograph, but I like what I’m reading. I usually don’t care for selectively colored photographs, but I’m making an exception for this one.

    1. Thanks, Linda. Years ago, I made prints in a home-built darkroom and many of them I hand-colored using oils, watercolors, and pencils. I always liked that old fashioned look and now I attempt it in a digital format. I wanted this photo to make a certain statement but it was too colorful (if that’s possible). This is the result of trial and error over 4 days.

  2. Reading your reply to Linda, it makes sense that this more subdued palette worked better to get the message across – the sign, the fence, the flag. Come next year, hopefully things will begin to shift.

    1. Thanks, Lynn. This was the third in a series of “statements” and there will be more to come. They are not the usual types of photos I post but the times they are a changein’ (again). I understand that a lot of folks don’t come here to hear my personal point of view on the situation we find ourselves in and that’s totally understandable. But I’ll do whatever I can to help right the ship and let the chips fall where they may. Thanks again, Lynn.
