Lost and Found #12 & #14

This post features two images that have been lost for a very long time and were recently found on an old HD.

At birth, a Dalmatian is always pure white. I read it on a Snapple bottle cap, so it must be true.

I’m glad you recovered two long-lost images. When the post opened on my computer screen, only the part of the first photograph above the line of plants on the shore was visible. That upper part could stand as a good picture in it own right.

Thanks, Steve. I printed the top photo soon after I shot it. The folder the file was in was on an old hard drive I was able to read and find the lost files.

Great photos. I’m really particularly enjoying that first ones with the trees making vertical lines!

Thanks, Howard. I’m glad you like that one. It’s one of my favorites.

    Those almost look like aspens.

    Very nice recovered captures.

Thanks, E. We have a lot of white birch trees here and there are a lot in the park I visited. They’re beautiful trees, especially in the fall. They seem to be prone to some disease as I see a lot of them dying out.

    What the Flip, WP!
    I swear I was already following you, Ken…..I mean….I know it’s been a minute but still…..I swear…..flippin’ WP….so here I am….Hitting ‘Follow’ again….

Fabo Images, Ken. I’m always sucker for lines and reflections. So well seen.

Thanks, Johnny. The light was a bit overcast but it worked out well I think.

Thanks, Linda. I’ll be posting more of the Lost Images in the future.

Ohh, I love what you did with those trees. The spots of extra color on the guys fishing top it off – a great image. You should print it. And that blue car in the second photo is striking in the bronzy setting.

Thanks, Lynn. I have a print of the guys in the boat hanging in the family room. Several folks have asked me about it. My first impulse was to clone out the blue car but I decided against it. It gives it some scale I think.

I think it’s far more interesting with that car there. Nice to know you have the print – and a place to hang it! 😉

    Congratulations on the finds, Ken.

I’ve a few old external drives that no longer respond to the computer. I haven’t made the effort to have someone more skilled at recovery than I look at them but some day. I try to back everything up on multiple drives but am sure there are things on at least one that it would be nice to see again.

I like that one pale-leaved tree with all the bare trees for a background in the second image. A worthy rescue.

Thanks, Steve. I thought I was good at backing up but apparently, I’m not. Looks like another winter project.
