I like it. Looks like salt and pepper. I find myself wondering what it would look like in black and white!

Thanks, Howard. Now I’m wondering, too! Stay tuned.

Is that Klaatu in your Gravatar? Sorry I’m ignoring the art just now! 😊

Thanks, PJ. Actually, it’s GORT, the robot that accompanied Klaatu. I had an opportunity to meet him (GORT) a few years ago. He’s very nice but you don’t want him as an enemy!

Well, well! I’m disappointed I got that mixed up. It is a wonderful film but must admit it has been a long time since I saw it. Meeting Gort would’ve been intimidating but cool you had the chance. I’m assuming he was “life” sized?

He is a big buy. Fortunately, I had a 12 foot step ladder with me.

Google has spelled it several different ways but usually with just the “G” capitalized. But Google is not the definitive authority on this. I am.

He he he! I’m so glad? I love a boffin. ❤

I missed this one on the day of its posting. I like it! Looks like whatever it is is being held together with paint. I’ve seen fire plugs that look like that.

Years ago, when some folks heated their houses with oil, they had these huge oil tanks to hold the reserve. Some folks painted them (to blend in a little better) and I think this one got painted many times. I found it in the front yard of this house and I think it had been there for a long time. Trash companies can refuse to pick them up unless you can prove that it’s completely empty.
