Michelangelo hated painting and wrote a poem about it. I read it on a Snapple bottle cap, so it must be true.

I love the light that’s coming through the trees. To me it’s even more intriguing than the colors!
Thanks, Howard. It’s the light that made me get my camera out. It didn’t last long before the clouds moved in so I think it’s more luck than skill.
Really like that first shot. Then, No. 4 . . . then the rest.
Thanks, E Other than cropping and a few tweaks, not much processing on these. It’s just a great time of year.
It depends on the kind of trees you have near you. I don’t have many places where I can see great colors. There are a couple of trees that will give me interesting leaves (like the ones in the rocks a few posts ago), but the rest are shades of dull brown . . . this is about the time when I miss Colorado’s Aspens/ (the trees, not the mountain resort).
I have a friend who lived near Boulder and he took great fall photos of the Aspens. That was an ideal location for a landscape/wildlife photographer.
. . . “was” being the operative word, in my case.
He lives near the Delaware Water Gap now. Also a great place for any photographer.
Hooray for backlighting and translucence.
Thanks, Steve. It’s the backlight that grabbed my attention. I got off a few shots and then the clouds started to roll in. I had good timing.
Keep falling, it suits you! 🙂
Don’t go away. I have more.
🙂
